My name is Paul Auxerre.

I'm a composer based in Graz, Austria with a background in gypsy jazz guitar and a focus on film and video game music.

Over the past years, I’ve developed my skills through online courses (including Audio Imperia’s Modern Composer’s Blueprint), composition challenges under deadline, and multiple game jam projects. These experiences strengthened both my creative workflow and reliability in collaborative settings.

I’ve also attended industry events such as the Composers Summit in Prague to gain further insight into the craft.

My work combines expressive, motivic orchestral writing with rich harmonic language and rhythm, resulting in distinctive scores that enhance storytelling and emotional impact.

I have always been interested in specific music traditions with distinctive sounds.

This is why I decided to dabble into ragtime guitar, dove into Musette valses and briefly studied tango in Buenos Aires.

But I have also enjoyed listening to Psytrance, learning a number of Tool-Songs on guitar and getting to know more about synthesizers in the past years.

I think it's important to honor the past and learn from it, whilst keeping an open mind about new developments in music.
