Harmonic Harbour Freelancer Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between Harmonic Harbour (“the Platform”) and freelancers who apply to join and be listed on the website.

By submitting an application or remaining listed on the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

Harmonic Harbour operates as a listing and connection platform only. We do not act as an employer, agency, escrow provider, or payment intermediary.

2. Nature of the Platform

Harmonic Harbour:

  • Provides visibility and promotion for audio freelancers

  • Connects freelancers with potential clients

  • Does not handle client payments

  • Does not guarantee work or income

  • Is not responsible for contracts formed between freelancers and clients

All agreements for work are made directly between freelancer and client.

3. Membership & Payment Models

Freelancers may choose one of the following models (where offered):

  • 5% commission on work obtained through Harmonic Harbour

  • Monthly subscription fee

  • One-time lifetime listing fee

The selected model forms part of your agreement with the Platform.

Failure to comply with your selected payment model may result in removal from the Platform.

4. Reporting Work (5% Commission Model)

If you are on the 5% commission model:

  • You agree to report all paid work obtained via Harmonic Harbour.

  • Reports must be sent to:

  • Reports should include:

    • Client name (or company)

    • Project type

    • Agreed project value

    • Date of agreement

Commission payments must be made within 14 days of receiving client payment, unless otherwise agreed.

Failure to report work obtained via the Platform constitutes a breach of these Terms.

5. Reviews & Rating Eligibility

Star ratings and review eligibility are conditional upon:

  • Proper reporting of work obtained via the Platform (where applicable).

  • Completion of agreed work in a professional manner.

Harmonic Harbour reserves the right to withhold, remove, or moderate reviews where reporting requirements have not been met.

6. Freelancer Conduct & Professional Standards

Freelancers agree to:

  • Treat clients professionally and respectfully

  • Fulfil agreed work within a reasonable timeframe

  • Deliver work consistent with agreed scope and quality

  • Communicate clearly and honestly

  • Avoid misleading claims about skills or experience

Repeated client complaints, misconduct, or failure to deliver agreed work may result in removal from the Platform.

7. Accuracy of Information

Freelancers warrant that:

  • All information provided in their application is accurate

  • Portfolio materials are owned by them or used with permission

  • Uploaded content does not infringe copyright

Harmonic Harbour reserves the right to remove content suspected of infringing rights.

8. Intellectual Property

Freelancers retain ownership of their own work unless otherwise agreed directly with clients.

By being listed on the Platform, you grant Harmonic Harbour a non-exclusive licence to:

  • Display your profile

  • Display your uploaded materials

  • Promote your services within the Platform

This licence ends when your listing is removed.

9. Limitation of Liability

Harmonic Harbour:

  • Is not liable for disputes between freelancer and client

  • Is not responsible for unpaid invoices

  • Does not guarantee client reliability

  • Is not liable for loss of earnings

Freelancers are responsible for their own contracts, invoicing, and legal compliance.

10. Termination & Removal

Harmonic Harbour reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or remove listings

  • Remove freelancers for breach of terms

  • Remove inactive profiles

Freelancers may request removal at any time.

Outstanding commission obligations remain payable after removal.

11. Amendments

These Terms may be updated from time to time.

Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
